UCCA is a non-profit organization, working locally to improve cargo standards. the foundation of thriving transportation in collaboration with the local and national partners to achieve sustainable results through practical, comprehensive approaches to the social-economic challenges. The association designs, implements and evaluates programs that address critical challenges facing in the transportation industry today. These include;
Building and sustaining relationships with stakeholders including government, quasi government bodies, trade associations and private sector interest.
Monitor the laws and practices which can have an adverse effect on trade and transportation in Uganda and lobbying to protect the members’ interests from any harmful regulation by providing a strong voice to the regulatory bodies.
Monitor activities of the transportation industry to ensure they maintain just and reasonable practices, while promoting the highest ethical standards for use with in the industry.
Fostering relationships with other regional and international intermediary association.
To enable the small-scale traders, move their cargo in and outside the country
To facilitate trade by collecting traders, organizing trade and trade instruments for proper taxation procedure
To obtain the best freight rates and charges for small cargo holders
Negotiate competitive insurance and conformity charges and processes for the various small scale and individual cargo shippers
Reduce the exposure of individual small cargo shippers and minimize pilferage
Increase the shipping and transit turnaround time for small scale traders who are unable to fill containers individually.
UCCA operates with in the distinguished boundaries of the country (Uganda).
Project Summary
To continue to plan, we put in action and give proof of the remarkable impact that the Uganda cargo consolidators association is having on individuals and stake holders in the Ugandan transportation industry and to continue promoting effective leadership, strengthening togetherness and engaging people in systematic change that creates opportunities, provide financial support and offer hopes to the individuals and organizations demoralized by individual negligence, lack of togetherness, ineffectiveness of local authorities and apathy of the privileged.
