About UCCA

WHO WE ARE

We are an association of non-vessel freight operating cargo consolidators registered
with Uganda Registration Service Bureau. Freight consolidators are operators that use
carrier as a vehicle, group goods from a range of importers and exporters in order to fill
the minimum order quantity of shipping lines which is either a 20ft or 40ft container. Its
termed as groupage cargo.
The association was founded in 2019, to bring together companies in Uganda that
import and export consolidated cargo under one umbrella to resolve logistic challenges
of small and medium size traders (SMEs) that had for long heightened the cost of
business which therefore led to the public losing confidence in the former
aforementioned.
It is the sole intention of the association to resolve the above issues at a large scale, and
we aim to expand our association programs to the rest of the freight forwarding
industry.
